Good platform, some limitations

I recently upgraded to the Pro Plan for a project and overall, I'm quite satisfied. The Scenario Builder is robust, and I found the JSON Integrations to be very helpful for connecting to some niche APIs. Real-time Execution worked as expected for most of my workflows. However, I did notice that sometimes the Error Handling could be a bit more verbose; it took a little digging to understand exactly why a scenario failed. The customer support via their community forum was decent, but getting a direct answer felt a bit slow compared to what I'd hoped for with a paid plan. Value for money is there, especially with the annual billing discount I got, but they could improve on detailed error reporting.

Fantastic automation tool!

I just started using Make and I'm absolutely blown away! The Make Platform is incredibly intuitive, even for someone like me who's not a developer. I managed to set up a complex workflow using the HTTP Request Tool and Webhooks within an hour. It's so powerful, I can't believe I didn't try this sooner. My productivity has already skyrocketed. I'm already planning to upgrade to a Teams Plan soon and will definitely recommend Make to all my colleagues!

Easy to use

Signed up for the Core Plan. Needed to automate some data entry. The Workflow Templates made it really simple. It just worked. Happy with it.

Consistent performance for years

I've been a Make user (back when it was Integromat!) for quite a while now, primarily on the Pro Plan. This latest order for a plan renewal was just as smooth as always. I rely heavily on the Scheduling and Data Store features, and they've been consistently reliable across all my projects. It's comforting to know that when I build a new scenario, it's going to work as expected. They keep adding new integrations too, which is great for keeping up with new services. No surprises, just solid automation.

is it possible to get a discount if I'm a student?

S Sophie Z. 2 months ago
They do offer student discounts! You usually have to apply for it through some kind of program. Worth checking their site.

My buddy got a student discount last year, so yeah, they have them. Look around their community or FAQ for details on how to apply.

hey, was wondering if make is good for like, bigger companies? or is it mostly for small teams?

C Cody D. 1 month ago
Nah, it's totally scalable. I know some really big outfits using it for pretty complex stuff. They've got enterprise options and all.

Yeah, my friend's company uses it, and they're huge. They even have dedicated support and on-premise stuff, so it's def not just for startups.

can i get a refund if i sign up for a year and then decide it's not for me after a month or two?

N Neil Silva 1 month ago
From what I remember, their refund policy is pretty strict. You usually pay for the period you used. Check their terms, but I wouldn't count on a full refund for an annual plan after a couple months.

K Kate Kaur 1 month ago
Pretty sure they don't do pro-rated refunds for annual plans if you just change your mind. Best to start monthly or with the free tier to be sure.

thinking about switching from zapier to make. is it really that much better, or just different?

A Anna 1 month ago
I switched from Zapier last year. Make feels way more powerful for building complex workflows, especially with how you can chain things. The visual builder is a game changer for me.

C Cleo 1 month ago
Depends on what you need. For simple A-to-B automations, Zapier is fine. But if you're doing anything with multiple steps, branching logic, or more data manipulation, Make blows it out of the water. Plus, task counting is sometimes better on Make.

are custom apps a thing with make, like if i need something super specific?

R Raj K. 1 month ago
Totally. They have an App SDK, so you can build your own custom integrations if nothing else fits.

M Mike Doyle 1 month ago
Yeah, if their existing connections don't cut it, you can develop custom apps. It's pretty advanced but definitely an option.

D Derek E. 1 month ago
Oh yeah, they almost always have something around Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Keep an eye out then.

I got a pretty sweet deal on a Pro plan last Cyber Monday. Definitely worth waiting if you can hold off a bit.

how do i even put in a promo code if i have one? didn't see an obvious spot during sign-up.

C Carly T. 1 month ago
It's usually during the checkout process when you're upgrading to a paid plan. Look for a small link or field there.

M Mark 1 month ago
Yeah, if you're upgrading from the free plan, it'll pop up when you select your paid tier and go to pay. There's a little box for it.

does make have like, a free tier or trial for people just checking it out?

P Paula Bennett 1 month ago
Yep, there's a free forever plan. It's got limits, but good enough to mess around and see if you like it.

E Emma 1 month ago
Absolutely, start with the free plan. Gives you a good feel for the platform without committing.
